In light of this context, how much and what was their media visibility? In particular, did Italian national newscasts provide adequate coverage of this event? More specifically, what was their degree of alignment with the International Olympic Committee’s Portrayal guidelines. Gender-equal, fair and inclusive representation in sport? These are the research questions of the study conducted by the Osservatorio di Pavia, promoted by the International Olympic Committee and the Fondazione Bracco, on the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Italian news broadcasts.
